Product Description

I. Basic Properties of Ethopropamide

Ethofumesate, also known as N-(2-ethyl-6-methylphenyl)-N-ethoxymethyl-chloroacetamide, is a light brown liquid with certain volatility and stability. Its density is 1.1g/cm³ and its boiling point is up to 391.5°C, indicating its high thermal stability. Ethofumesate has a low solubility in water but good solubility in organic solvents, a property that makes it easy to formulate and use in agricultural applications.

The main toxicity of ethachlor is characterized by skin and eye irritation, and acute toxicity. According to experimental data, the skin irritation test of ethachlor on rabbits showed that it has a certain degree of irritation, while the acute toxicity test on rats and mice showed that ethachlor can trigger toxic reactions, such as nausea, vomiting and dizziness, at higher doses. Therefore, when using acetamiprid, it is necessary to strictly follow the safety operation procedures and do a good job of personal protection.

Second, the main use of acetamiprid

As a kind of preemergence herbicide, it mainly acts on the embryonic sheath of monocotyledonous plants or hypocotyl of dicotyledonous plants, and inhibits the cell growth by hindering the protein synthesis, so as to make the growth of young shoots and roots of weeds stop, and then die. Its herbicidal effect is remarkable, especially for annual grass weeds and some broad-leaved weeds with good prevention and elimination effect.

Ethofumesate is widely used in field weeding of corn, cotton, peanut and soybean crops. It can be applied to the soil surface after sowing of crops and before weeds emerge from the soil. Through the moisture and temperature conditions in the soil, acetamiprid is absorbed by the roots of weeds and conducted to the whole plant, thus achieving the purpose of weed control. In addition, ethofumesate can be used in combination with other pesticides to improve the effect of weed control and expand the scope of application.

Environmental Behavior of Ethoprop

The degradation of acetochlor in the environment is mainly carried out through photolysis and microbial degradation. Photolysis mainly occurs on the surface of soil and water, and is greatly affected by light intensity and wavelength. Microbial degradation is the main way of degradation of ethachlor in soil, and its degradation rate is affected by soil pH, temperature, humidity and organic matter content.

The adsorption of ethachlor in soil is mainly governed by soil organic matter, and the higher the organic matter content, the stronger the adsorption capacity of ethachlor. Therefore, in sandy soil with low organic matter content, acetamiprid is easily transported with water flow and may cause pollution to groundwater. In the soil with higher organic matter content, the adsorption effect of acetamiprid is enhanced, which is favorable to reduce its migration and diffusion in the soil.

Safe use and protection of acetamiprid

As a kind of pesticide, the use of acetamiprid must strictly abide by the relevant national laws and regulations and operating procedures. Before use, the product manual should be read carefully to understand the performance, usage and precautions of the product. In the process of use, appropriate protective clothing, gloves and masks and other protective equipment should be worn to avoid direct contact with the skin, eyes and respiratory tract.

In the event of acetamiprid poisoning, first aid measures should be taken immediately. For skin contact poisoning, the contaminated clothes should be removed immediately, and the skin should be washed thoroughly with soapy water and flowing water; for eye contact poisoning, the eyes should be washed immediately with flowing water or saline; for inhalation poisoning, the patient should be moved to a fresh air place quickly, to keep the respiratory tract open, and to give oxygen and other treatments. For those who are poisoned by accidental ingestion, gastric lavage, inducing vomiting and diarrhea should be carried out immediately and sent to hospital as soon as possible.
