Herbicide For Paddy

Product Description

Mefenacet, a highly effective and selective amide herbicide, has played an important role in weed management in rice fields since its introduction. This pesticide product, which was first developed by Bayer in Germany and put into production in Japan in 1987, has become a trusted partner of rice growers due to its excellent control effect and good selectivity. In this article, we will introduce the physicochemical properties, mechanism of action, application technology and market prospects of benzthiazoxystrobin in detail.

Basic information

Benthiazide, chemical name is 2-benzothiazol-2-oxo-N-methylacetanilide, molecular formula is C16H14N2O2S, molecular weight 298.36. its CAS registration number is 73250-68-7, usually exists in the form of white crystals, the melting point is about 134.8 ° C, the boiling point of 441.0 ° C (under atmospheric pressure). Fenhexamid has low solubility in water but strong adsorption in soil, which can form a treatment layer on the soil surface, thus effectively avoiding direct contact with the growing point of rice and improving the safety of use.

Mechanism of action

Fenthionamide is a selective systemic conductive aniline herbicide, which mainly works by inhibiting cell growth and division. When the agent is absorbed by the shoot sheaths and roots of weeds, it will be rapidly conducted to the young shoots and young leaves, especially gathered at the growing point, which will strongly inhibit the division of young protoplasts. This inhibitory effect will hinder the division and elongation of the cells at the growing point of the weed, and eventually lead to the death of the weed. Fenthionamide is particularly effective in the prevention and control of grass weeds (e.g. barnyard grass), and also has a good effect on annual weeds and a variety of sedge weeds.

Application Technology

Applicable crops and weeds

Fenthionamide is mainly used in rice fields, and it has excellent effect on barnyardgrass, Chrysanthemum, oxalis, Zea mays, duckweed and other weeds. Especially, it is most effective when used at the stage of barnyardgrass germination to 2 leaves.

Timing and method of use

It is the best time to apply Fenhexamid 3~10 days (barnyardgrass 2-leaf stage) or 3~14 days (barnyardgrass 3-leaf or 3.5-leaf stage) after transplanting or transplanting rice. Before application, the field should be harrowed and a shallow water layer of 3 to 5 cm should be maintained. The recommended dosage is 50-60 grams of 50% Fenthionamide WP per mu (for seedling field/ transplanting field in southern region) or 60-80 grams (for transplanting field in northern region), mixed with 15-20 kg of fine moist soil (sand) and then spread. After application, the water layer should be maintained for 5-7 days to ensure the full effect of the chemicals.

Precautions

- Benthiavalicarb is less effective on sandy soils and leaky fields and should be used with caution.

- Use up to 1 application per crop season to avoid overdose leading to drug damage.

- Protective clothing and gloves should be worn to avoid direct skin contact.

- After application, tools should be thoroughly cleaned and wastes disposed of properly to avoid contamination of the environment.
