Notice on the Renewal of Terms and Call for Members of the Subtechnical Committee on Biological Pesticides under the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pesticides

The Subtechnical Committee on Biological Pesticides (SAC/TC133/SC1) of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pesticides is a specialized technical committee approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation, responsible for standardization work in the field of biological pesticides—including bio-derived pesticides and biochemical pesticides—on a nationwide basis. The first term of SAC/TC133/SC1 has now reached its five-year mark. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the "Administrative Measures for National Specialized Technical Committees for Standardization," we are now commencing preparations for the election of a new committee. Guided by the principle of broad participation, we are now publicly soliciting nominations for members of the second term of SAC/TC133/SC1 from all relevant organizations across the country. Specific requirements are as follows:

I. Scope of Solicitation

Professionals from across the country involved in the production, operation, use, and consumption of biopesticides, as well as public interest stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, testing institutions, universities, research institutes, and social organizations.

II. Committee Member Requirements

1. Individuals currently employed who hold a professional technical title of intermediate level or above (including intermediate level) or an equivalent professional technical position;

2. Familiar with the business operations in this professional field, possessing a high theoretical level, solid professional knowledge, and extensive practical experience.

3. Possesses good written and foreign language skills;

4. Have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of standardization, be passionate about the cause of standardization, actively participate in standardization activities, and conscientiously fulfill all duties and obligations as a committee member.

5. Individuals employed by legal entities established in accordance with the law within the territory of our country, and who have been recommended with the consent of their employing organization;

6. Meet and comply with other conditions and requirements stipulated in the subcommittee’s charter.

III. Submission Materials and Requirements

1. Adopt a voluntary application process, with recommendations from your current organization, and complete the “Registration Form for Members of the National Technical Committee for Standardization” (see attachment). The same individual may not serve as a member on more than three technical committees or sub-technical committees.

2. The recommending unit of the committee is responsible for reviewing all information provided by the applicant to ensure its accuracy. The head of the unit shall sign their opinion in the designated space on the committee member registration form, affix the official seal of the unit, and indicate the date of completion.

3. Please submit three hard copies of the committee member registration form by January 2, 2026 (printed on one side, with a recent, front-facing, bareheaded, two-inch color photo affixed and stamped with the official seal). Additionally, please enclose one identical photo (with your name written on the back, for use in producing the committee member certificates). All materials should be mailed to the Secretariat. At the same time, please send an electronic version of the committee member registration form (in Word format + scanned PDFs after signing and stamping) to the contact person’s email address (email subject: “Registration Form for the 2nd Committee—Organization Name—Your Name”).

4. The Secretariat of the Sub-committee will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the nominated candidates in accordance with relevant regulations, determine the list of committee members, formulate the establishment plan for the second term of the Sub-committee, and submit it to the National Standardization Administration Commission for approval.

5. All submitted documents will be retained as technical records and will not be returned to the applicant.
